在那里 may be times when circumstances make it difficult to comply with M State's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. If there are mitigating circumstances (such as a hospitalization, documented medical problems or death of an immediate family member), you can submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal to request permission to return to M State without completing a one term suspension. An academic advisor can answer your questions about completing the appeal form. After submission, your appeal will be reviewed by a committee and you will be notified of their decision with a letter sent to your M State email account.
Summer and Fall Semester 2023 Appeal Deadline Dates
SPRING ACADEMIC SUSPENSION:
If you are academically suspended following Spring Semester 2023 and are registered for Summer 2023 courses, your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. On Friday, May 26. You will be notified via email as soon as a decision has been made on your SAP appeal. If your SAP appeal is approved, you will remain enrolled in your summer courses; if it denied, your summer courses will be dropped.
If you are academically suspended following Spring Semester 2023 and are registered for Fall Semester courses, your SAP appeal must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 30 in order for you to remain in your courses while your appeal is being reviewed. If a SAP appeal is not submitted by this time or if your SAP appeal is denied, your courses for Fall Semester will be removed from your schedule, and you will no longer be enrolled.
If you do not submit a SAP appeal by June 30, you may still submit a SAP appeal until 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 11, for consideration related to enrolling in Fall 2023 Semester courses. Please note that any courses for which you were registered during Fall Semester will have been dropped and you will need to re-enroll in classes if your appeal is approved.
SUMMER ACADEMIC SUSPENSION:
If you are academically suspended following Summer Semester 2023 and are registered for Fall Semester courses, your SAP appeal must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 11. If a SAP appeal is received by this time, you will remain enrolled in your classes for Fall Semester while your SAP appeal is being reviewed. If a SAP appeal is not submitted by this time or if your SAP appeal is denied, your courses for Fall Semester will be removed from your schedule, and you will no longer be enrolled.
